Personalised Fitness and Mobility Classes

Our Personalised Fitness and Mobility Classes are comparable to a typical Personal Training Session. We set development goals for our students and design programmes to help our students work towards them. We understand that SEN students may not understand the long term benefits of hard work or may be reluctant to push themselves, which is why we’ve broken down typical exercises and programmes into developmentally appropriate sections with clear objectives in order for them to achieve their health development goals.

These classes target the physical health issues that are often associated with SEN conditions. Some of these conditions may be:

  • reduced metabolism (leading to being overweight)
  • reduced muscle tone
  • reduced mobility (caused by lack of flexibility, lack of balance and/or coordination)

Our goal with these classes is to:

  • to improve the physical and mental health of our students
  • improve the quality of life for our students and their families by helping our students become more adapted to the daily physical requirements of life
  • To provide a space where students are able to redirect their energy - leading to more stable emotional regulation and sleep regulation
  • To help the students develop an understanding of the benefits of hard work and rewards for a job well done
